With our gratitude

As we share the 200 Stories project, we offer our deepest thanks to everyone who contributed to making this milestone possible—especially the local historians, archivists, researchers and Mount Pleasant Group staff, past and present, who so generously shared their knowledge and expertise. We are sincerely grateful for our neighbours and community members, who remind us of who we were Yesterday and where we came from. We thank you for helping us to reflect and stand in gratitude for where we are Today. We look forward to building together, the many tomorrows to come. The Forever.

Your work grounds this project in meaning, memory and place, ensuring that what we create is shaped by the stories, traditions and lived experiences that came before us. You remind us that history is not abstract. It belongs to people, landscapes and communities, and it deserves to be approached with respect and care. You also remind us that history is not fixed or singular, but continually shaped through the stories we tell. We are stronger because of your commitment to accuracy, context and the careful holding of multiple truths.

We offer special thanks to our 200th project partners, Method Collective, for their warm and collaborative design process, and we look forward to presenting their work at 10 of our sites during this milestone year. Our sincere thanks also goes to Chantal Morris, historian and researcher at Toronto Cemetery Tours, for her invaluable contributions, and the countless historical societies, library, and archival projects that have informed much of what we know today about our communities and ourselves.

This 200th project emerges from the dedication and care of many hands, and we are honoured to share this collection.
