A Place for Memory and Meaning
As MPG marks 200 years, Meadowvale’s focal point will be the Space for Grief Memory Garden, a designated area where visitors and staff are invited to write messages in tribute to someone they’ve lost. Messages may reflect memories, words left unsaid, advice or acknowledgment of a future or loss being grieved. Written contributions are displayed within the garden, forming a collective landscape of remembrance that reflects many voices and languages.
Plinths with multi‑sided signage will be installed indoors, serving as wayfinding, informational and narrative keystones. Featuring four‑sided printed panels or multi‑panel displays, these elements provide additional historical and interpretive context while acting as visible reference points within interior spaces.
Later this summer, interpretive signage placed throughout the site will share MPG storytelling and narrative prompts, offering additional context about care, community and continuity.
Together, these elements form part of MPG’s network‑wide 200th anniversary, highlighting how personal stories and shared history continue to shape the ways we remember and support one another.
